I’m a day late this week. Yesterday was a travel day for me and I spent most of it in my car. I apologize to anyone who had something going on yesterday but, I’ll be back on schedule next week. Here’s what the rest of weekend looks like.
You can get your Friday started in Bethlehem at Lost Tavern Brewing with the Acoustic Kitty Project Duo at 6pm. The Chelsea Lyn Meyer Band is at Foundation Tavern at 7. At 8pm you can choose from Kyle and Claudio at Colonial Pizza, Doug Kaetz at Tacos y or Tequilla or Mark Stewart and Sam Steffen at Godfrey Daniels. Doyle and the Dudes are back at the Strange Brew Tavern at 9:30. Pentley Holmes is at Sarah Street Grill while Funk Norris is at Pearly Baker’s Ale house – both shows at 10. The Funhouse Southside has a double bill tonight with Matt Juknevic at Happy Hour (6pm) and the Trouble City All Stars at 10:30.
On Saturday you can get things going early with a bottle of wine and Doug Kaetz at Blue Mountain Vineyards. Yingling-Porter on Tap will be at Revel Social at 6. The 8pm shiwas are Pentley Holmes at the Downtown Allentown Market and Rachel Marie & the Promise is Hope at Godfrey Daniels. Late night has Gemini Reign at Pearly Baker’s Ale House (10pm) and Ditch the Rain at the Funhouse (10:30).
If you are looking for early entertainment on Sunday, Bill Ihling and Michael Carr are at the Saucon Valley Farmers Market at 9:30am. Later on, Joe Janci will host the open mic at Godfrey Daniels and then you can walk next door and hang out with Lorenzo Bubba at the Funhouse (10:30).
If you are heading to Godfrey Daniels on Friday or Saturday, you’ll need tickets and you can purchase them on line at http://www.godfreydaniels.org or at the door. The open mic on Sunday has a $3.50 cover charge. That’s what I have for you for this weekend. Get out and support local music and the venues that make it happen.
