The weekend is here again and it’s time to check out the local music scene. Festival Unbound wraps up a week-long celebration on the south side of Bethlehem tomorrow evening. Today is the second Thursday of the month and that means it’s open mic night at Cave Brewing Company in the South Mall. All performers enjoy 50% drinks and there are 8-10 food trucks outside the main entrance. Sign-ups start at 5:30pm. Godfrey Daniels has the Charter Arts Songwriters’ Cafe’ starting at 7pm. Later on tonight you can catch Nick Cerniglia at Pearly Baker’s Ale House at 10 or stop by the Funhouse Southside for Mosey Beat at 10:30
On Friday, Pentley Holmes has your lunch break covered at Pocket Park at 11:30am and then he’ll be at Lost Tavern, Bethlehem starting at 6. Doug Kaetz is “double-dipping” tomorrow as well. You can find him at Bishop Estates Vineyards at 6 and the Wooden Match at 10. at 7pm, you can choose from Smooth Retsina Glow at Divots, Chelsea Meyer at Foundation Tavern, The Tim Harakal Duo at Yergey Brewing or Stacy Gabel at Gallows Hill Spirits. Schubert & Binder will entertain you at Colonial Pizza and Godfery Daniels has The Poets, Troubadours and Troublemakers Songwriters’ Showcase at 8. At 9pm you can see Bad Company Experience at the Lakeside or the Acoustic Kitty Project Duo at Southside 313. The Dan Dechellis Trio is at Pearly Baker’s at 10 and Dear Anna closes out the night at the Funhouse at 10:30.
Saturday finds Pentley Holmes with another double header. He’ll be at Ironbound Hard Cider at 3pm and Porter’s Pub at 10. Doug Kaetz stays busy with a 6pm start at the Slopeside Pub. Andrew Moses will make an appearance at the Beef Baron at 7pm. The 8pm hour has several choices with the Acoustic Kitty Duo at Two Rivers Quakertown, Chelsea Meyer at Leather Corner Post, Scott Harrington at Colonial Pizza, Roy Book Binder at Godfrey Daniels and Smooth Retsina Glow at the Bridge Inn. Blue Hearts Revelry will be at Pearly Baker’s at 10pm while Armed For Flight is with Powder Valley Bang at the Funhouse at 10:30.
