Voices of the Valley Weekly “HOT SPOTS”

The weather may be hot but, the music is even hotter. From the “bookend” open mics to the Out to Lunch Concert Series and everything in between, we have your music covered.

Thursday – Start your weekend early by coming out to the all-original open mic night at Cave Brewing Company, hosted by Nick Lindsay. Sign-ups start at 5:30pm and the fun begins at 6:00. Then, head on over to Easton where Nick Cerniglia will provide the sound at Pearly Baker’s, starting at 9:30pm.

Friday – We wrap up this months’ Out to Lunch Concert Series at Social Still with Doug Kaetz at noon. Next up, Roi and the Secret People at Two Rivers Brewing, Pentley Holmes at the Easton Public Market, Carter Lansing at Muellers General Store and Smooth Retsina Glow at Weathered Vineyards, all starting at 6:00pm. At 6:30pm you’ll find Jack Pierone at Cave Brewing Company and Nick Cerniglia will be at Woodstone Country Club starting at 7pm. Sandy and the Mix at Colonial Pizza, Dear Anna at Rivals, Beautiful Disaster at the Hill-to-Hill Grill and Anne Hills with Bill Jones at Godfrey Daniels all get started at 8:00pm. Shane Reimer kicks off his busy weekend with PDR at the boathouse Restaurant at 8:30pm. If it’s late-night you’re looking for, The Funhouse has Will Kiss and Dan Andree and Pearly Baker’s has Secret Sound at 10:30pm.

Saturday – Starting at 4:30pm at Weyebacher Brewery, Shane Reimer (solo) kicks off his busy day. He’ll then be joined by Them Spicy Boize at the Tamaqua Arts Center (7:00pm) and the Southside 313 Bar and Grill (9:00pm). Leah Fuls is at the Kutztown Folk Festival at 5:30pm. Nick Cerniglia is at Hi Jinx Brewery at 6:00pm and Ralph Pagano is at the Beef Baron at 7:00. You can Catch the Chelsea Lyn Meyer Band at Leather Corner Post, Mark Hannig at Colonial Pizza, El Groupo En Sequencia at the Hill-to-Hill Grill and the Karl Dietel Five at Godfrey Daniels, all starting at 8:00pm. Pearly Baker’s has you covered late night with Acoustic Kitty Project at 10:30.

Sunday Shane Reimer is solo at the Slopeside Pub at 2:00pm. You have two chances to see Leah Fuls – 3:00pm at the Woodloch Pool and 6:00pm at the Boathouse. Nick Cerniglia is at the Paddock at 5:00pm and the Godfrey Daniels Open Mic, Hosted by Dave Fry, gets started at 7:00.

As you can see, there’s no shortage of live music here in the Lehigh Valley. All you have to do is decide who you want to see, then make plans to go see them. Keep live music alive in the Valley.
