Valley Musicians Band Together For A Cause

This weekend the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center will hold their annual open house at 1161 Cherry Drive, Stroudsburg, PA. This is their largest fund raiser each year and it goes a long way in helping to keep the doors open. There will be food, vendors, tricky tray, a bake sale and much more to help fund this non-profit organization for another year. The event takes place on both Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23, from 10am-4pm. Admission is $9 for adults and $5 for children 5 and over.

If you are starting to think “Voices of the Valley is supposed to be about local music”, you are correct – it is. So, what does this have to do with music ? Well, music is that universal language that everyone understands. Nothing seems to bring people together the way music does. And, no one seems to organize and bring musicians together better than Carter Lansing of Acoustic Kitty Project. Carter will be there again this year providing the entertainment both days. He will be joined by a long list of friends to help keep the music going all day long. Some will be there Saturday, some on Sunday and a few may even make it a point to be there both days. Either way, you can’t go wrong with the music he has lined up for the weekend.

Don’t just come for the music, though. Come to see what the Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center is all about. Come to help out a great cause and keep the center alive for another year. Learn about what they do and why they do it. The music is just a bonus to a great weekend.
