Cave Brewing Company, one of the Lehigh Valley’s newest craft breweries, is not your typical brew pub. For starters, the fact that it’s inside a mall already makes it unique compared to other breweries. Tucked inside the South Mall, 3300 Lehigh Street, Allentown, Cave offers a wide variety of craft beers brewed off site, in Bethlehem, PA. Founded in 2015, in the garage of owners Jeff and Alison Bonner, Cave moved in to it’s new 3500 Square foot taproom in November, 2018.
The mall location is not the only thing that sets Cave Brewing apart from many others. Jeff had a vision fueled, not only by his passion for creating original recipe craft beers but, by his passion for music as well. “I want everything about this place to be original. From the beers to the music, I want the creativity to be a focus”. In May of this year, he took that step and introduced live music to the taproom. Hosting the first all-original open mic night in early May, followed by a couple live music events and a second open mic night, Cave became not only a craft brewery but, a live music venue as well. And, bucking the trend, it’s an all-original live music venue to boot.
Cave Brewing Company now has a consistent lineup of live entertainment with weekly shows on Friday or Saturday nights (6:30pm), on open mic night on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month (5:30pm) hosted by Nick Lindsay and a Songwriters Showcase on the 3rd Sunday (1pm) of every month hosted by Nick Lindsay and Ralph Pagano featuring 2 special guests each month in a “Nashville-style” in the round.
